JISOON KIM is artist based Seoul, South Korea.
Utilizing a refined capacity for material excavation and an acute awareness of the everyday, Kim constructs a sculptural language that engages with the tension between recognition and estrangement.
He approach challenges conventional perceptions of form and materiality, prompting a reconsideration of object-based meaning and sensory interpretation.
Since initiating her upcycling-based practice in 2018, he has developed a multidisciplinary portfolio encompassing sculpture, installation, object-making, garment construction, and spatial intervention.
Kim has participated in collaborative projects with ‘Nike workshops’ and ‘Adidas’, including the presentation of commissioned work for the inaugural ‘Adidas Originals flagship store’ in Seongsu-dong, Seoul.
He practice extends beyond Korea, with recent international projects conducted in Paris and Spain, reflecting an expanding engagement with global contemporary art discourse.
